Miu Miu Fall 2015

Miu Miu is trying to differentiate from their high fashion colleagues. They are taking on the 1920's fashion, but are taking the scout approach. They are using various kinds of patterns. From the classic Scottish plaid pattern, to 1960s kaleidoscope patterns, they are definitely tapping into the past, and re creating the vast creative patterns from that past era. Their approach to the color palette is masculine with a british style and its includes geometric shapes. Prada really wanted to create something out of an obscure and controversial past. Where females wanted to feminine masculine attire but still uphold the 1920s masculine essence. "Did Sherlock Holmes spend his adolescent years as a Boy Scout? Miuccia Prada might argue yes. For Miu Miu pre-fall, shown in a witty installation at the Palais d’IĆ©na, Prada integrated elements derived from imagery of 1920s Scouts, all properly turned out in snazzy walking shorts, with a practical swagger (and a British check or two) that nodded toward the great god of Scotland Yard."
